not always, some internet forums are moderated a bit more, to eliminate the crude stuff. ON both sides of the aisle. of course even that is based on the moderator's opinion. Usually if a poster speaks his mind, the moderator will address any other individual that calls said poster "stupid" to the point where eventually you just don't see that kind of stupid stuff going on. And of course it works both ways. It does require some time though, there's the downside of it. It's hard to find individuals that want to "moderate" to that level. This forum is under-moderated IMHO. But I know that coming in and can adjust/live with it. No biggie. You just need to realize you certainly can't wear your feelings on your sleeve here.! It's still a top notch forum due to content and the people I've met. Again it's just hard to find people willing to devout that kind of time to "cleaning up" BS. It's just hard to go through EVERY post. I don't mean for this to be a "slight" to Brett or the mod's we do have. I say this from a moderator point of view, as I moderate on another forum. It's not easy.
while I will have to disagree with you that SF is a piece of crap, I will say that there is entirely too much lee way given to supposed "respected" posters ( any, not just SF ) on how they conduct themselves toward others on this forum. I just havent encountered anything like this face to face with any LSU fan, and I've met quite a few on here. Beats me why
I agree. I think the anonymity of the Internet brings out the more bold opinionated side of some people. I don't see why someone would want attack another Tiger fan because of his/her opinion of the team be it positive or negative. Disagree yes, but attack them or call them an idiot just doesn't make any sense to me. I've had heated debates many times with fellow fans but they have never broken down into the petty personal attacks you see here sometimes. Save that crap for opposing teams. We are all Tiger fans here. (most anyway...and those that aren't are generally not too bad) I usually just try to avoid the threads get over a couple pages because they have usually digressed into back and forth attacks. I just figured I'd throw my two cents in.
Totally disagree. That's not gonna change his ability to recruit. He was known for his recruiting abilty at OSU and they were well below a 8-4 team. Miles can recruit.
I will admit that I've gotten pissed at times and called someone an idiot. That usually only happens after a few too many brewskis and a few too many (IMHO) unwarranted shots at coaches and players. Lately I have been making a serious effort to criticize (or praise) the post and not the poster. I hope the kinder and gentler SabanFan will be appreciated. Downonthebayou crossed the line, however, I don't hold it against him because I make him angry and he retaliates the only way he knows how. None of his zings hit the mark because they were too immature, but, that said, I shouldn't make anyone that angry. Oops. I think I just took a shot at him. Sorry.
