a political hot potater, yes, a scientific hot potater, no.

unlike climate science, which has to do lots of predicting and forecasing and whatnot, evolution is rock solid. even if jesus says it isnt.

See you're against jesus, not intelligent design. It sounds like you've been drinking, and I have too, but that doesn't mean evolution is science. Science is the theory of relativity......Einstein set out a plan to dispel his theory. It has been shown through experiment after experiment to be correct. Evolution on the other hand, is a fable like King Arthur and the Green Knight.

There was no King Arthur and there is no evolution as Darwin explained it. It's weak science like Roe vs. Wade is weak law.

Please bring up a specific of evolution you believe to be true so I can shoot it down. Bring up the moth, or horse or man......the eye......anything.

for you it is a matter of faith so there is no point arguing. i surely could destroy you on any of your choices, particularly the eye, which i have read alot about, but i am not going to bother, because your beliefs are grounded is inpenetrable faith.

of course i am convincing and sometimes i can convince people to abandon their myths, but i think you are a lost cause.

I wonder just how many people here that is for intelligent design is against
    Christianity taught in schools?
I bet its a double standard here and you are against this?
If Intelligent design is a theory just like evolution well so is Christianity.
Some scientists religion is Intelligent design, evolution, etc.

    Heres the deal:
As much as people here make fun of Christians and talk about wizards and warlocks.
I would like to know just what you know about Christianity, I bet some of u don't have a clue what your talking about?

There is more than enough evidence that proves that Christianity could in fact have happened.
    1) Documented evidence that there were Isreali settlements in Egypt at
    the time the bible says.
    2) Documented evidence found at the bottom of the Red Sea that could be
where the waters were divided, appearance of Chariots, etc.
    3) As far as I know there is proof that there was a great flood at one time.
    4) Found evidence of the three crosses.
    5) Tomb of Lasurus, etc.

I am not trying to preach to anyone, just pointing out that there is just as much evidence if not more than other theories.
Some of it is generic and could possibly be linked to something else but the timelineis in perfect step from the bible.
All you have to do is some research on your own to find this stuff out.
I found this information out from the Discovery Store.
    1) Walking with the Bible from a NY Times writer
    2) Mysteries of the Bible
    3) I'm sure there is other proof that I haven't found yet.

It is my opinion that the Jews and Christians are hated around the world for
one reason, yes people in America hate Christians.
Believe what you will but before you make up your mind you should spend
the time to do research to make sure you know what your talking about.
The real tragedy is when people run their mouths and have no clue what
    their talking about!

Feiler, a fifth-generation American Jew from the South, had felt no particular attachment to the Holy Land. Yet during his journey, Feiler's previously abstract faith grew more grounded.

Sourdough, nobody disputes that Christianity happened, that is rather obvious. Anyway, Christianity has nothing to do with "intelligent design", which would have to be an Old Testament thing if it were true.

I still don't see how Creationism (Intelligen Design) and evoloution are mutually exclusive. God created everyting and desinged it to evolve. I have never understood how fundamentalist Christians get so riled up about evoloution, but then again I'm dumb.

Not all fundamentalists get riled up about evolution. I am a fundamentalist, yes I do believe in a literal 7 day creation but I can never know for 100% which is why I have no problem with the idea that God created everything to evolve. I think this helps explain a lot of things about the fossil record and age of the earth but the creation is not a salvation issue so again one is free to believe either a literl 7 day creation or God directed evolution.
