Just because his recievers were open all the time doesn't mean that his play was above average at best.
Annnnnnnngh! Wrong answer! Pellini, guilty as charged of misusing a Top 5 Defensive team & getting toasted for nearly 500 yards. NO EXCUSES!!! Two weeks exist for a MAJOR OVERHAUL, or you can start hauling LSU's ass out of the Top 10
Just because he was able to get the ball to wide wide open receivers running 10 yard routes doesn't mean he should be a Heisman candidate either.
Mulligan? Mulligan! mulligan |?m?lig?n| noun informal 1 (also mulligan stew) a stew made from odds and ends of food. Mulligan |?m?lig?n| Mulligan, Gerry(1927–96), U.S. jazz baritone saxophonist and songwriter; full name Gerald Joseph Mulligan. The defense was awful last night, but I'm not willing to pass final judgment on Pellini or the players just yet. Probably no LSU team has ever played under more difficult conditions than the one who took the field against ASU. It's very likely that the team that faces Tennessee will be sharper and more focused. At least, that's what I'm hoping. Right now, I'm just enjoying the win, and the #3 ranking. Complaining may be fun, but it's not very constructive.
You obviously have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Perhaps you should learn a little about football before you start spounting off such nonsense.
Probably because arrangements had to be made fast and Arizona State had the infrastructure to do it. The Independence Bowl does not have full-time resources that an on-campus facility has. They would have to host two out-of-town teams and fans while their own hotels are still overbooked.
If you think he was better than Leak or Croyle it is you that know absolutely nothing about football and your constant glorification of this average QB is what is nonsense. Did you just start watching football yesterday?
You're a moron, and your hatred of the PAC10 is pretty apparent in your refusal to give credit where credit is due. Don't take my word for it, just look around. It seems that you're the one that doesn't know what you're talking about. From CFN "If QB Sam Keller can do that against USC, the season might quickly turn very, very interesting." "Sam Keller was brilliant in shredding the lightning-fast LSU defense making play after play after play until the mojo ran out late. If he can do that against LSU, he can do that against anyone." From DandyDon "I was not pleased with the way the defense played, but a lot of credit has to be given to ASU quarterback Sam Keller who is probably the best quarterback that LSU will face this season." From Sportsillustrated.com "ASU quarterback Sam Keller could be the next Andrew Walter, the rookie Oakland Raider who broke John Elway's Pac-10 record for career TD passes last year, among a long list of school records." And no, I didn't start watching football yesterday.
Brodie Croyle is incredibly overrated. What the hell has he ever done anyway, besides get injured and constantly manhandled in the backfield? In fact, whenever a QB gets destroyed in the backfield, we actually now say that he got 'Croyled.'
