I'm not downplaying the talents or abilities of Bowe, Doucet, or Davis. I'm just not ready to annoint them as the greatest set of LSU receivers ever.

You think Clayton, Josh Reed & any number of recievers haven't had yard after catch. Damn man get real.

Funny how the same people that think we have the greatest WR's in LSU history were the same ones that started threads about the biggest busts and overhyped WR's last year. :dis:

If you are going to compare Russell to Hodson or Tyler then compare his freshman year to theirs. He was given every opportunity to play his redshirt freshman year and couldn't beat out Randall. Hodson faced a ranked team in his first start and we won. I think the score was 34-17.
I suspect that had Russell been forced to start his redshirt freshman year, as did Hodson, his career completion percentage would be lower and his interceptions would be higher.
Hodson only had Davis as a receiver his freshman and sophomore years. I think Moss was around his junior year. His best receivers as a senior was Alvin Lee and one of the running backs. I don't believe they compare to Bowe, Davis, and Doucet. Not one of his receivers was highly rated coming out of HS.

If you compare JR and Davey's stats JR is as good or better than him in most categories.

mabe on paper, JR is not the warrior RD was. I can still see him limping to the huddle with fire in his eyes, call the play then limp to the line of scrim. take the snap then scramble shed off 2 tacklers and hit REED! with a nice floater for 6 pts.

Just a thought, wonder what the rushing stats are comparing JR to Matt?
I don't believe passing stats tell the whole story!:)
Before I get flamed just wanted to point out a new wrinkle.
Matt was more a runner than a passer.

Not the warrior??? JR played with the majority of the season last year with a wrist injury that REQUIRED SURGERY!!!!

If THAT's not meeting your definition of "warrior", then you just don't want to accept anything that JR does as positive. :dis:

I am not backing Jamarcus, or dissing him but this statement is false. Saban had ties with Randall and his family and wanted to play him for his senior year. Remember, Jamarcus got decent amount of playing time when Randall couldn't perform or we were killing a team. Plus, he played against Iowa.

    JUST CHECK THE STATS

    73/144 for 1053 yards
    QB rating: 127

P.S. Rohan is one if not the toughest player to play at LSU. Just straight tought. Not a bad passer either. Thanks for the stats.
