If my wife would allow it, I would ask you to marry me based solely on that post. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:[/QUOTE] My husband would probably work out some sort of arrangement for football season. I think I get on his nerves with my "obssession" (his words, not mine.) I think he should lose his "man card" for thinking that way...
I notice you've been exiled to Tejas too. Don't tell me you had the added misfortune to marry someone who doesn't bleed Purple and Gold?
LOL!! Well, I'm not married, but I could never marry a man who can't handle the ROAR of a TIGER!!! hehe.... and the only way i would get married period is if i could work out some type of arrangement to have my wedding on the field hehehe...maybe at halftime and the Tiger band could play hahaha...ok...i got a lil off topic here i guess......
Sad, but true. I've been "exiled" in Texas for over ten years now. It's pretty safe to say I'll live here for the rest of my life. I love where I live; I just wish it were closer to Baton Rouge!
So, what does that mean, trust the coaches and shut up? That sure would make for a boring forum. Coaches are notorious for sticking with the more experienced known quantity. How long did it take Kieland Williams to get any serious work last year? How long was Marcus Randall starting games ahead of Russell? The 2003 team became a championship team when Saban turned the RB duties over to Justin Vincent. Would things have ended differently if Addai and Shy Carey continued to handle the load? It's fine to take things slowly in baseball or basketball. But in football, one slip up early in the season might cost you a shot at a championship.
Eh, I'm getting real tired of living in Northern Mexico and, in fact, I'm heading out for BTR in just over an hour. I've got a job interview in NOLA Saturday, another one in BTR Tuesday and a third in Lafayette next Friday. Maybe I'll get one of the three.:thumb: I'll wave at Tiger Stadium for you when I cross the bridge. :geauxtige
It was the opener against the doormat of the SEC. Do you seriously think we saw Crowton's entire offense? Do you really think that Flynn is going to run the ball all season?
Translation: Coaches know what they are doing, but I'd like to see them take chances on unproven sophomores anyway.
I do not seriously think we saw Crowton's entire offense and I don't,and hope Flynn is not going to run the ball like he did last night all season. For a doormat of the SEC they sure gave us hell the first half. Don't put words in my mouth. From what I saw last night Flynn was running because he either did not have receivers or the line collapsed. I know Flynn can run this offense and will improve dramatically from game to game IF he doesn't have a LB grab his ankle and twist it like a pretzel. I am just over protective of our #1 qb, OK??????:thumb:
Yeah, the whole QB running thing makes me nervous as well, but I do remember him taking a slide instead of knocking heads against a defender to pick up a first down, so at the very least he doesn't seem to be reckless. But wow, the pucker factor every time I see him take off...
