We use a Honda EU2000i and I think at the time we got it last year it was a little over $1100 bucks... They may be a bit cheaper now..

That said, it's the quietest generator I've ever used... We put the generator on the opposite side of the truck from us, and you'd almost never know it's there. When we first started using it I had to walk over there and make sure it was still running and still there because I never heard it.. lol

Having been to several football games in Baton Rougue over the years, I would say that smoking is the least of the problems in the stadium. You know what I mean.

By the way, the campus and game atmosphere there is unbelievably great. Was at Florida the year of 911 and their atmosphere is also great, but nowhere near that at LSU. Your crowd roars for three hours straight. Florida crowd roars primarily when the opponent is on defense, or, when they are having a big play or scoring. Last game I attended at LSU was the year you guys won in overtime (I believe in 2000) and our starting tailback stated that he could not hear our quarterback call the snap count the entire evening. Just had to watch for the center snapping the ball. One of the greatest State/LSU games I have ever seen, even in State losing. I did get to witness in person at least one of Quarterback John Bond's four (4) straight wins over LSU during the early 80s. Was the 1983 game, I believe, almost did not go to Baton Rougue because State was at the time in a 6 game losing streak and only averaging about 12 points per game. We scored over 40 points that night, and the next morning the newspaer in Baton Rougue stated that they were glad that Mr. Bond was finally graduating.

My Dad and Mom, both now deceased, took me and my brother to a game at LSU back in the 1950s, which I still vividly remember to this day. At halftime the lights were briefly turned off and the announcer asked the crowd to strike matches to light up the dark. You sure would not be asked to do that today. I also listened to the great game between LSU and Ole Miss back in the 50s in which Billy Cannon ran the punt back for the winning score. The crowd noise was so great during his run that the LSU radio anouncer could not be heard near the end of the run, but we knew that he had scored, and really appreciated the Tigers putting one on Ole Miss, especially since back in those days we would only beat them maybe once every ten years or so. In fact, any time you beat Ole Miss it is great! I really admire your tradition.

I am a true Bulldog fan. Have been all my life, and root for them in all sports win or lose. We have a lot of fickel fans, but not me. My Dad and two of his brothers all graduated from State.

I am really looking forward to our upcoming game. Really believe it will be competitive this year, and am enjoying the bantering.

Yeah, after reading this first line I was already forming my sarcastic response mentioning the urine bags and empty Jack Daniels bottles. But then I read the rest of the post... :) Good post.

Which part of my post did you not understand?
I said tailgating and cooking is what I was referring too.
Another thing that bothers me is that will take your cushion if its too big.
I don't see how they have the right to take it if you purchased it.
Motor home policies? Police units there all weekend? Gimme a break!
From what you have told me here and your handle you must be liberal.
Anyone with the name potted plant!
I will post it one more time so that you might get it the second time around!

Everywhere you go there is going to be rules, if you can't follow them you just don't go. As far as the tailgating rules a couple are very good improvements of policy. I hate going to a tailgate to enjoy myself only to have a bunch of kids at the next tailgate playing rap music so load that you can't talk football with your friends even if you sit next to each other and scream. Also if you have attended games the last couple of years you would know that parking is at an absolute premium and can be very hard to find if you don't come early. Why should several thousand parking spaces be taken by people using more than their share forcing others to park even further off campus?

I want everyone to enjoy the games and tailgate but you do have to share the campus with 100,000+ other Tiger fans, it's not your own personal playground. If these few rules and restrictions stop someone from having fun at an LSU football game they need to seek professional medical help for their mental condition. I know from experience that the vast majority of tailgaters see no need to infringe upon the rights of others to have fun in order for them to have fun themselves. JMO

I was about to b!tch about this, but I'm a server administrator at UNO, and I realize how disastrous a campus-wide power fluctuation can be for university operations. Really, really bad.

    Advancement.

My primary job is to manage their alumni database, which includes managing the server on which that database is deployed, and access to it.
