This is all I'm hoping for. Right now, we have no real threat.

I wouldn't expect him to get big receiving numbers. Randle and Beckham are heating up, so there's no sense in disturbing that rhythm. But I do think that he can present some problems underneath, which can give the D a little something else to think about.

I would expect to see him get some jet sweeps, and screens. The plays that allow him to get the ball in space and use his vision. If we block like we are supposed to, we have seen how effective/dangerous a player he is. To my recollection, we have not shown the jet sweep yet this season, so I would expect to see it with RS at WVU. Just my 2 cents.

It depends on whether Shepard has his head on straight. He apparently hasn't all summer long, getting afoul of the NCAA twice. Beckham has earned the start. Shepard needs to come in when given the chance and make something happen.

No way he slides into the 2 in front of Beckham. He will get the slot, which is a better position for him anyway. I think he is in front of Landry and Boone. We'll obviously see what kind of reps he gets in practice this week. bhelm?

I don't expect to see him making a significant impact on the game immediately as he will need some time to get geared up to the game rhythm after missing three games. Plus, Beckman has proved to the entire team what he can do to impact the game, which definitely deserves some respects and a stable playing time.

Not expecting much. Could see some usefulness with some short slants and would like to see him involved with the return game.

Shep hasn't show the consistancy in providing 100+ rec yard games not to mention adding 100+ returning yards.

I think you're still hung up on his "hype" comming out of high school. Temper yourself.

Ever since the Oregon game, our WR's have really progressed. They've corrected the "drops" that plagued them a few times too many in the opening week....but that's hardly surprising as it was week 1.

I honestly expect Shep's stamp on this game to be average at best (it's HIS first game of the season after all. Don't expect TOO much. You'll set yourself up for disappointment). Perhaps 3-5 receptions and anywhere between 30-50 yards. And that would be welcoming. You MIGHT see him on an end-around.

I think TM7 will continue to return punts. Shep might be 1 of the 2 deep on kick returns.

jerry rice wouldnt have shown consistency with our passing game if he was here in his prime the last 3 years.

True. The past two games give me some optimism that our passing game is turning the corner. It might not be 300+ passing yards every outting--but it doesn't have to be. Just consistant.

passing offense is a lot of pace and rhythm. zero of that til this year. takes time but luckily we are building on it with a passing qb now.
