SabanFan is right. There is simply nothing to gain by bringing this to court, nor does ths billboard display any unlawful material. This case would do nothing but lose money over some silly sports issue.

 

ARE YOU SERIOUS? What has this guy ever done for LSU? Brett and company have busted their asses to bring the best Tiger forum possible to us. Go to the membership list (listed here). Count the registered people. Then count the "contributors." I personally think TF should let people read but not have the capability to post unless they cough up the $20. I was looking today at one poster who has around 1150 posts. He averages about 1/2 of a penny per post. But will he kick in to help TF? Brett and company aren't paid by the hour or by commission. Those wanting to "pleasure us with their insights" should have to pay for the privilege. If they enjoy posting and blessing us so much, having to pay to post or at least after 100 posts, seems fair to me.

Pay up to help defend a billboard most would never see? But too cheap to help pay for TF? I can't imagine someone doing that. I just feel very strongly that TF gets abused by some. Kind of like someone going to the local steakhouse and ordering the largest steak with the all you can eat salad bar. Then you fill up on chicken, roastbeef, meatloaf, pizza, nachos, chilli, plus all the vegs you can eat. When your steak comes, you simply say, "Put that in a doggie bag please. Man, am I glad I don't go to USC's lawschool because that don't no jack. Little thing called first admendment allows the billboard to stay put. Also, libel and slander? What an idiot. You need false statements for those arguements to hold water. Too tired to run through the rest of the list.
