 "LOL, are you f'ing kidding me?" No, it's straight forward. That's quiet a dramatic response, why the attitude? Making your own way versus being born into a positive situation has nothing to do with shaping a president, it's what they make of it. There are examples from both sides of the isle. Seems like 'side-step and redirect' is the usual tactic for Dems this season, why don't you address my original question?

I agree with what I bolded.

It's things like this whole who grew up better off debate that make me ill. Does it matter? Not one bit, but there is no real difference in either of these candidates, so partisans continue to bicker over things that don't matter but play well with their base.

I disagree with your last sentence. Side step and redirect is the usual tactic for all politicians since forever. Watching the presidential debate is proof.

neither of the candidates (it seems) has the mettle necessary to take on the tough choices we have to make in the coming days and weeks ahead.

each candidate pandering to the left & right in both parties is almost as sickening to watch as is watching their convoluted responses to straight-forward questions posed to them.

I just think it is a joke to hear Republicans (I'm a Republican but don't swallow the party line) say that Obama is so out of touch. Your post, which was a pretty hefty swipe at Obama, continued a string of insults levied at Obama and Kerry; that fueled my outburst. Let's have a recap...

On to your post that lead to my response...

You asked me to answer your original question, which I assume is "Has he ever worked, suffered, or fought for anything?"

What kind of loaded, condescending question is that? He made his way and worked for the less fortunate. He was raised middle class or lower. Do you think Obama has been sitting on his thumb, rotating, and just happened to be swept into the Illinois State Senate, the US Senate, and one fight away from the White House?

I don't really care that McCain was a child of privilege or that he married into money. I'm not basing my decision on whether he cheated on his wife. But I can't sit here and listen to Republicans unfairly tear down Obama, yourself employing the very tact that is so tangential to the bottom line before complaining that the Dems want to "sidestep and redirect." Have you watched FOX lately? I hear more about Ayers than I do about the shtstorm that has replaced our economy.

Your comments are more out of line than mine ever pretended to be. You pretend to be dismayed by partisanship after participating in a string of partisanship. You've bought the BS the Republican party is selling. They're just as bad as the Dems you're recoiling away from.

He's more concerned with working against the fortunate, just like Ayers.

Who cares, so was I. Is there a lower class in Hawaii?

Obama wants to hide his association with a terrorist, why can't he be forthcoming about it? FOXNews has plenty on the economy.

Out of line? Because I ask legitimate questions that Dems can't, or don't want to answer? That doesn't work.

Hook, line, and sinker. To tell you the truth, I'm so disgusted with the moral side of liberal politics that I can't even begin to become concerned with the economics.

To your second question, yes. To your first, he isn't clueless when it comes to the middle class and less.
At least you aren't trying to hide it. I guess that's commendable?

Is there a way I can keep the Free Speech Alley from appearing in my web browser? I manage to stay outta here for months at a time, I couldn't just leave well enough alone....:rolleye33:
