Natural Light, not Natural Ice Light. One case will do. My consumption declined significantly once I made the decision to never drink and drive.
My problem with Geitner, and I had the same problem with his predecessor, is that he seems to suffer from the “smartest guy in the room syndrome.” We all know folks like this. SGRs propose some vague howyacallit with a bunch of buzz words or fancy charts, and then when asked for details the SGR basically tells you that you just don’t understand and tries to make you feel stupid. We were all sold this BS story about what a financial wiz Geitner is and that he was the only guy who could prevent a Depression, but I think it is all quite silly and in no way is it measureable. What I have noted is that pretty much everytime Geitner gets a little pressure he drops the ball. I am not impressed with any of his proposals to date, and none seem so brilliant that only this economic messiah could have come up with them.
So let's see, Obama's had Cabinet failures, but Bush had just as many....is that your argument? Just wanted to make sure before I remind you of...
Geithner: "I'm Guilty" http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/03/19/geithner-treasury-pushed-for-bonus-loophole/
Weren't these the same posters that suggested we not bring up the past but talk about the present when Bush was in office? LSUMM and Red use the same strategy, In other words Obama may be bad but thats ok because Bush was worse!
It's called common sense and the name is Geithner - and today thanks to President Obama he is the Secretary of the Treasury. The Internal Revenue Service reports directly to the Secretary of the Treasury. So someone would have to be a moron to believe that the IRS is going to sign off on criminal charges in any form against their Secretary. It is no assumption that the New York City Commissioner of the Department of Investigations and her first deputy ordered a high ranking senior official to suborn perjury which is a felony under both state and federal law. The NY Times ran a daily piece from December 11 - 17, 2003, highlighting their attempts to locate and interview Kerik's nanny. There was no such search done by any of the three New York tabloids; Times, Daily New, Post. The press had possession of the Senate Finance Committee report on Geithner's failure to pay his taxes and false deductions but did not run it until two days later, when the committee released it themselves. And as for Bush's justice department prosecuting Kerik - unfortunately, in every municipal, state and federal prosecutorial agency, there will prosecutors who from time to time, see an investigation or case as a self serving opportunity for fame and fortune; just ask the students at Duke or the former Governor of Alabama. Kerik's indictment is no different as evidenced in the judge's concern over the prosecutor's unprecedented selective and overreaching behavior. Lastly, I have no problem making my case as it just takes a little research and I have done mine. So maybe before you comment on what you have read press, you may want to do a little research yourself. (Federal complaint (docket no. 06-5997) filed by the DOI Inspector General, Assistant Commissioner Michael Caruso in the Southern District of New York, states that Rose Gill-Hearn, the Commissioner of NYC DOI and her First Deputy Commissioner Walter Arsenault suborned perjury by ordering Caruso to testify falsely in the Bronx Grand Jury to wrongly inculpate Kerik in a crime).
He will likely survive, but his credibility along with Obama's has taken a big hit on this most recent AIG bonus fiasco.
Someone will have to take the hit and the more that comes out, the more it becomes clear that Geithner is in SO far over his head that we are in serious trouble. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/20/business/20bonus.html?_r=1&hp
That was a joke for Sabanfan. You dont have to remind me of anything. But thanks for the comments.:thumb:
