probably the most frustating thing to me is that the gators did not win this game as much as we lost it. the difference in the game was tebow. he's an amazing athlete, fully deserving of the heisman he received. he's also a great representative of his university. at some point we have to put jj in a package he can be comfortable with, slants, middle screens, designed qb runs from the shotgun, etc., as well as use the weapons at our disposal: shep, randle, etc.
All criticism of the game aside, IMHO, the game came down to two plays: (1) Charles Scott not punching it in for a TD resuling in 3 points; and (2) Florida getting away with a hold on the touchdown. If these two plays go our way, we probably win the game despite what went wrong on offense. The offense faced a very good defense, still we HAVE to get better and more consistent in moving the ball. If we can get that going, we can still win the rest, play for another SEC Championship and who knows what after that.
Change that to (1) 3 straight horrible called running plays with 1st and goal at the 10 when you haven't been able to run the ball all night. Where was the TE or the RB sneaking out of the back field for a pass? Naked bootleg? Anything but 3 straight runs up the gut and the 3rd out of an obvious running formation. The Florida defensive staff didn't have to burn many brain cells shutting down what the LSU offensive staff was showing them. No imagination or creativity what so ever.
And youre just as much of a troll by constantly putting down others when they criticize the coaches/team. Yeah some do take it too far but the fact is many bring up some very good points. While Ive yet to see you really bring up any point to back up your claims besides hail insults to those who disagree with you. You cant deny that the team hasnt really improved much over the last two seasons. I know we have inexperienced QBs but still in all there isnt any coaching up on the offensive side of the ball. I know some of the criticism is a knee jerk reaction. Some is legit, overall this team lacks discipline. Overall this team isnt being coached up. Overall we arent changing things up or trying to change the personnel like implement Shepard more. So many other instances. Im a super competitive person in any and everything I do. Im hard on others, but Im just as critical on myself when I compete. I can accept losing some games. I just cant accept an underachieving team that isnt being well coached. A team that is making the same mistakes all season with absolutely no improvements. If you want to keep smoking what you are and support it fine. But I dont. It doenst make me any less of a LSU fan than you because I feel Miles isnt the same coach he was or he isnt coaching the kids up.
some points you make are valid. One thing though you mention JJ's drop back passing and inconsitancy, I wonder if he wasnt running for his life back there would he be better? You eluded to the fact that the O line has underperformed, we cant run the ball well and we cant protect the passer. Could JJ's issues be with the O line? Would another QB be any better considering who we have left in the bull pen? No one has mentioned Garrett, you're right but I personally think he is the real future, I saw this kid play in HS and he could be the next Matt Flynn. I hope he gets his shot. Shepard is awesome but I think we'd be best served with a traditional pocket passer QB. Utilize Shep some way, too much talent to waste.
Penalties unnecessarily helped Florida score points, including a hold by their receiver (on the TD play) that wasn't called. Miles/Crowton are strangely conservative and appear to me to be like a jockey pulling on the reins of a horse that wants to go full out. Shepard's fumble on his first play ever is,still entrenched in his (Miles') mind. They need to just let JJ, et. al. let it all out. Except for the stupid offsides penalties, this defense was all world last night. Tebow's 8 yard gain on what should have been a sack was the turning point in the game. I don't know why, but our early 2nd half offense is suddenly confined to sacks by a 4 man rush. That needs to be solved. LSU was in the game all night and could have won. I'm disappointed we lost but that can happen when you play the #1 and defending champion. It's not time to fire the coach. This is a very good team that needs to fix some offensive problems. I am not angry or disgusted or apathetic. Neither am I going to read incredibly stupid crap by a bunch pathetic wanna be jocks without commenting on the stupidity of their worthless complaints.
You HAD to copy & paste that from somewhere else. CANNOT imagine those thoughts going through your mind. Just joshin with you.
