You'all need to stop bashing the Illlini. From your point of view I'm sure I would have rather played someone else but we were hoping to get a piece of Nebraska as well. I was very impressed with your team on Saturday but I think Tennessee choked. We do have a lot of speed in our secondary and Brandon Lloyd is probably in the same caliber as Josh Reed. Walter Young is our other receiver and he stands 6'5 with good speed. I think this will be a great game and may the best team win.
I wasn't dissrespecting your team and their ability, its just that we have no ties, negative or positive, with the Illini. LSU likes to "GoToWar" with teams in bowl games. You will find out, if you go to NewOrleans, that we take football VERY serious and sometimes the fans of opposing teams take that as being rude, but its just our nature. Speaking for myself, I know absolutely nothing about Illinois and don't particularly care to know. No hard feelings.
