If I understand this tool correctly, he takes exception to the fact that LSU has fans outside of Baton Rouge, and thinks that people in a particular city should support their local college regardless of whether the team is worth watching or not. What a nimrod. Does he think that Lafayette should institute some sort of mind control to make sure local residents don't root for out of town teams? Like it or not, programs like LSU have fans in lots of cities, even cities with other colleges located in those cities. Houston probably has as many LSU fans as Baton Rouge, despite the fact that there are more than one local college in Houston (Rice and Cougar High, to name two). Does he think Ooh La La fans in BR should similarly be suppressed in exercising their First Amendment rights to express support for the team of their choice?
The small pathetic bunch of anti-LSU crowd in Lafayette are a bunch of sad , pitiful want-to-bes. I have two good friends who are from the New Orleans area who met at USL and graduated from USL. They stayed in Lafayette and raised a family here. They are sending their children to LSU ! The people in Lafayette with brains are LSU fans. My mother obtained two degess from USL. I had always pulled for the Cajuns. However, as I got older the USL "elite" defined USL fans as people who could not pull for LSU. They have and never will see a dime of my money in support. I refuse to attend any of their games . As I posted above, this is part of the reason they can't put people in their stadium, even the student section is empty.
"I guess it all comes down to this: I know there won't be a rash of babies named Bustle born next year and that the University of Louisiana at Lafayette isn't exactly packing them in with their winning ways." There could be a rash of babies named Nick born in Louisiana next year but they won't be named after Nick Pittman.
Houma Tiger Yes Alley Broussard is from the Lafayette area and attended Acadiana High. Next I would also like to say that this Pittyman is a jerk. On one point if he's just using shock effect to move that rag he needs to grow up and leave that LSU USL stuff in the past. I live in Lafayette and when I fly my flag or talk about season tckets you get those that ask why you don't support USL. In my opinion this sport thing is a form of entertainment. USL games are boaring period. And the talent they bring in from the visitors team are not worth watching either. The more the Don Allens of the world and this Pittman fellow spew this anti LSU venom the more I could give a rats you know what about USL ever winning a game. Yes I said it USL
