Trump can fire him technically. However like when Nixon fired Archibald Cox it would be political suicide. Also with his past statements it could be construed as obstruction of justice

Right. It would be terrible for RE-election. People forget, there are 3 investigations. Even if he did fire him, it wouldnt stop the other two. Also, Trump “could” have ended it all before it started. But he didn’t. He is playing the game.
