Never crossed my mind when I was a student. I did dream of being in a big time rock 'n roll band. I don't remember if I knew anybody in Tiger Band but the kids in the band in high school were all the nerdy types. That was before all the nerds became billionaires.
I never really considered it because I wasn't nearly good enough. Also, I saw how much work they put in when watching them practice from my Kirby Smith dorm room window.
I was good enough, but for some reason, it never crossed my mind. I joined a fraternity and we stayed drunk for 4 years.
Yea, unfortunately instead of concentrating on my studies and prepping for the ACT I used my extra time to chase tail and get drunk, in no particular order of course. Grades fell, ACT score was shit and a spell from a voodoo clam had me no where near a college. Had a chance to go to Duke University on a full ride. Since then its been the Oilfield life for me.
I was in the marching band when I was at Broadmoor and SLU and later in the U.S. Navy Band, but being on the field with the Golden Girls would have been a lot more fun!
