$2.50 is very high at any time for live crawfish. I paid $2.29 a pound for 5 pounds of boiled crawfish last December at Heads n Tails on Perkins Road but at least they were the select big ones. Last year I was in Houston and some friends took me to a place called Crawdaddy's. They were $7.50 a pound. I'm glad somebody else paid the tab for that one. The guy who owns the place is from Lafayette. He must be making a fortune. When I want a few sacks of live crawfish I usually drive about 25 miles west of Baton Rouge to the Ramah-Maringouin exit on I 10 It is the last exit before you get on the spillway bridge. Take a right and if you drive down the road almost every house has a sign in the front yard selling live crawfish. You can get them for $20 a sack for Spillway crawfish caught that day. Its almost August so crawfish season is basically over. Any you might get now might have hard shells because crawfish this time of year thicken their shells. Peel and eat a few pounds of the ones with the hard shells and your thumbs will be raw for a few days. The good news is that now you can get crabs for a decent price. Crabs are boiled the same way as crawfish.
Who would I like to see LSU never lose to? Alabama Auburn Florida Ole Miss Mississippi State Arkansas Georgia Tennessee Kentucky Vanderbilt South Carolina Notre Dame Texas A&M Tulane any other 3rd rate so called division I team like Miami, Ohio or UAB that have pulled upsets in the past. Florida State Miami Nebraska Virginia Tech Texas Ohio State USC or anybody else from the Big 12, Big 10, ACC, Pac 10, Big East or ACC who we might schedule in the future or play in a bowl game. The Dallas Cowboys San Francisco 49'ers Washington Redskins Atlanta Falcons Anybody else we might ever play
No votes for Ole Miss? While I don't like Auburn as much as the next LSU fan, I DESPISE losing to Ole Miss. What happened to "Geaux to Hell Ole Miss"? I can live with a loss to Auburn, but it is very difficult to live with an Ole Miss loss.
I can't stand losing to Ole Miss, but a victory against them doesn't make me nearly as happy as a victory against AU, UA, or UF.
But that's not the question posed in this thread. I'd rather have Ole Miss as the team we would never lose to, then be able to really enjoy wins over AU, UA or UF. If we beat those schools every year, the fun in the win would be a little diminished. We SHOULD beat Ole Miss every year, so having them as an automatic doesn't take as much joy away from the victory.
