I’m guessing we’ll see a backup whether we like it or not. Danny is probably going to take some shots.
I certainly don’t expect miracles from him and I am pleased with the direction of the team. Even losing this weekend we have a chance to finish out strong. O hasn’t completely won me over but I like the changes I see, not sure if this will translate to long term success but I will give him credit for what he has done in the present.
No one can disagree with the above. Last year, LSU had the defense to hold Alabama to ten points which bama was lucky to get. LSU played a "safe offense" designed not to lose the game which did make SOME sense. This year, we know that our defense is not as strong and have a real OC. I don't think O has to worry about walking home from the game.
They probably expect us to play safe, we should throw caution to the wind and play balls out. Loss is a loss as far as this year goes might as well screw the gumps!
We were down 20 at the half with the barn. Adjustments on offense and the defense getting all stuffy made it a game So adjustments will be in order and we will need Etling to execute those adjustments to even consider a comeback. Whether he has both arms still or not.
That's the only way Brennan plays in this game. Man, so last year and 2013 we really saw LSU qb's take a beating. Etling was running for his life last season, and Mettenberger had to basically drag himself off the field in 2013. I hope this year LSU can give some sort of protection to the quarterback.
I thought it was more an execution issue. Etling short-armed some drive extenders. Admittedly, I didn't watch the game more than once. Didn't really want to either.
