I doubt it would have had a negative impact. "Winning" the game by the score of 2-0 would look...strange, but there's nothing bad about being 2-0 in the standings.

Based on their bitching the past two weeks, I'd say they are there already.

A forfeit woulda just given them all of the first-place votes, that's all.
