well if you wouldn't want one of the best, prolly top 5, college coaches of all time coaching the tigers because you don't like the man, then my friend you are an idiot.

Hey, I don't start these rumors. I just read and hear about them. I'll feel a whole lot better when Saban's name is on a new contract with LSU.

You can cross off the Iowa coach. If he leaves Iowa it will be for a NFL job. We all have our reasons for hating visor boy. If he is available we should at least discuss the job with him.

1- He's had a taste of the NFL now.

2- Would build on what we have now.

3- can recruit with the best.

4- we can come to like him

For those that prefer Fisher, take a trip back down memory lane. If things went sour, you would be the first calling for his head.

It's been a very long time for LSU fans. LSU gave a former player a shot, a coach from the NFL sold us out, we took a chance with an assistant, brought in one that a “current NFL QB” made look better than he actually was, and the next one was basically an assistant.

Heck no I don't want to chance our future on an assistant. This program is too loaded to settle for. Has everyone forgotten how long it took to recover after the firing of CM? Mark was with Bobby for many years before he took over UGA. I would not trust this to any assistant as long as I had a shot at a top coach. No darn former players either.

Saban is not going anywhere in my opinion. Don’t you think Sanders was told that Saban was leaving by DF @ aTm & BS @ OU? I promise you they brought it up. For him to call coach Saban and commit, he knows something we don’t.

If you want an elite program if Saban were to leave for the NFL you best go after the elite. You want another Medicare program, go with an assistant or less quality. Look at UF. Did UF hire up or down? I’m not saying they could have brought in a coach like Steve, but they could bring in a better coach than Zook. UF had enough talent left to win with. JMO

I feel fine now. I agree it will be a relief when he signs the contract.

Somehow LSU will go on even when Coach Saban does move on. I bet LSU football continues long after we are dead and gone. I even bet it goes on with the same winning tradition and high expectations Lousiana fans have grown accustomed to.

Tiger Stadium would go nuts if Spurrier starting running up the score on Florida.

JSracingBBF, chill out man. You posted a comment, as none of us should discuss it. Pretend this is a discussion board for LSU fans to discuss issues & concerns. I do believe we all have a concern that a coach that took our tigers to the top may leave for the NFL.

It’s not about starting a rumor, and we all know that we can’t control it. It’s in every major & minor publication across this country, all news outlets and our SEC brethren are praying he leave.

Why is that? They all know LSU will be a force to deal with as long as Nick is here. Teams like Ole Miss, ARK, Miss State believes it will be improbable that they will win the West. Auburn & Bama know their chances are much less.

I would agree with you if this were a rumor by one or two people. With the coverage it’s getting, and the concern everyone has, I don’t see why there is a problem discussing it and who would be his replacement. If I don’t like a subject matter, I simply quit reading them rather than attempt to insult the posters.

I can assure you of one thing, rather than take steps back with our program, I can learn to like visor boy if it came to that.
