If reinstated does JJ become a distraction?

I don't think many would argue this is not JL team now. After watching our offense operate now compared to the last 2 years it would be difficult, if not impossible, to say otherwise. JJ has no above average skillsets he can fall back on...he's not an above average scrambler, passer, or decision maker. I'd like to see Mett be backup until he shows he's not ready for it. I believe he is though.
It is so nice to see triple digit+ passing yards on a regular basis :thumb:

UAB, ULM, we can add a bunch of coaches to that list....

Yep, his best game was the one he didn't coach....:thumb:

Unfortunately we may have seen the last of Mett this year (mop up duty for Kentucky is obviously a real possibility), and that will be a shame. I would be shocked if JJ isn't the backup after this weekend's game.

    Simpleminded logic. :D

Don't know how you can jump Mett ahead of JJ on any depth chart unless you've been brainwashed by Islstl, who has Mett going to the NFL based on seeing him throw 7 passes.

Could be a distraction though, but not JJ's or JL's fault. Based on JJ's last couple of games last year and JL's season so far, either one of them looks good enough to be the sole starting QB. Miles is almost going to be forced to find minutes for both of them. About the only good thing that might come from that is if one of them gets hurt down the road, the other will be ready. But I'd prefer a one QB system.

I wouldnt mind JJ redshirting. Mett is a complete unknown at this point and nobody knows whether he'll be the QB people hope he will be. Both JJ and JL were highly touted recruits with supposedly fabulous talent. How'd that work out in 08 and 09 or the first half of 2010?

Without a doubt JJ is good enough to have the Tigers in the title hunt next year. Mett might be better. Might be worse.

Tigers were top 5 on just about everybody's preseason list this year, with JJ as the QB. Young team this year, even better next year.

2+2=4. Unless you are a hater.

Shep missed three games and he wasn't redshirted. No reason to think JJ will be after missing four. And JJ won't be a distraction to this team unless the fans make him one.
