4+ losses twice in 5 years puts Miles on the hot seat.

4+ losses 7 times in 10 years puts Tubby on the list of possible replacements

Les Miles @ LSU 3 top 5 finishes in 5 years
Tubby @ Auburn 1 top 5 finish in 10 years

other than '04, what has Tubby actually accomplished?

    DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS?

Balance wins championships  To be fair.. having a stout run defense is very important.

The title of the thread says if NOT Miles then who. Since you wanna make it otherwise, I hope Les can do this with his recruits and be given legitimate credit for his accomplishments. This season is pivotal.

    this ain't the NFL.

no one with a defense ranked lower than 23 has won a BCS title since '99
and only 2 of those defenses finished outside the top 10.

5 of the 11 champs in that time have had offenses not finish in top 25.
3 of them finished outside the top 40.
    2 outside the top 60

in college football, defense wins championships

didn't mean to accuse you of wanting to fire Miles.
was more question people in general holding Tubbs in such high regard.

I hear ya, but no reason to go back & forth on what TT has done or hasn't. Opinions are what they are. I think the Gruden talk is retarded though.

true, but I'm so antsy for the season to start, I'm willing to go back and forth on just about any football related topic.

It;s all good man if you read my opening sentence im not specifically saying if he got fired just if he left in general. i am actully a LM supporter , i think he has done a great job. people have gotten on him for a few things but i believe his greatest flaw so far has been not having a legit back up plan for periloux =/. i think LSU bounces back and becomes a contender again this year
