I'd actually prefer a 'safe bet'. I think Butch Davis could do fantastic here

I wanna see how Miles handles this season before I resume calling for heads. It's only fair.

It's not that there aren't coaches out there that could do better than Miles, I just don't believe that the ones from the very short list would leave where they are. And there are a few that may appear as though they may be a good choice that I'm just not sure would be a good fit in the SEC. Just because you can kick butt with Boise St inthe WAC doesn't mean you'll have the same success in the SEC. Of course Urban has proven that doesn't mean you won't be better than the rest either, having come from the MWC.

    I agree,

BUT IF, Miles leaves, then Id like to see a coaches coach, and a coach that can still recruit as well as Miles.

I am NOT a Miles Hater!! I often defend him, living Houston surrounded by a lot of SEC Haters! But its fun to take shots at Mack Brown too

That status really doesn't stop him from taking another job, but it definitely makes it difficult for him to become an available coach. Not that UT is a better gig than LSU, because it isn't, but other than a deep desire to coach for a team that you're an alum of, UT would be one of the top programs in the country to get to be the HC. Like LSU there isn't much missing; great booster and administrative support, great talent, great fans, great pay, great tradition, and just great. Which Mushamp already has the gig when the time comes.
