That's what I say. I don't mind if Miles stays, but he has to get rid of Pelini. I doubt he would, but he needs to.
It's not all Pellini, remember since he has been here our D has been in the top 5 ... right now our D line is average at best because of injuries... we have missed Alexander more than anyone would have guessed and Dorsey has been hurt most of the season causing our LBs to play more run support thus opening up the middle of the field for the passing game... ooops and the run.
Hey Tiger fans! This is my first post here; I've been reading through the forums and decided to join in. I just want to say that I hope Les Miles stays on. I think he has the potential to be a great coach and I'm curious to see what he does with all of the talent he still has to work with. We have a really good football team, despite the losses, and that gives the younger guys something to chew on as they prepare for next year. Anyway, I think we'll beat Tennessee and the Sugarbowl should be a good way for our great seniors to end their college careers. And, maybe the unknown game could be UL Lafayette...at least it'd be a notch in the win column. :geauxtige
well said, LVTGRFN! i agree. CLM, the staff, and the team need our support now more than ever. when your child or one of your friends fails, do you bellyache the cause or do you demonstrate more love and support than you did yesterday? the only teams that have less losses than us are teams who haven't played the difficult SEC/ranked team schedule we've played, and some of the teams with the same record as us haven't played the schedule either. it was our unfortunate luck/fate/destiny/whatever that we had to be down (for whatever of the countless possible reasons everyone is speculating or presuming or imaginating - yes i meant to spell that like that) for our last regular season game against an unranked league opponent. either you're a LSU Tiger football fan or not. either you bleed purple and gold or not (all this bleeding lavender and yellow don't cut it). this season ain't over yet. the Tigers still got some fire in their bellies and fight in their hearts - and a point to prove next saturday. GEAUX TIGERS!
They have my and Im sure most heres support. I hope Miles does stay here with LSU. That said, there is always gonna be talk on peoples opinions, thats what forums are for. I cant help but really question the coaching job this season. IMO its been very subpar. I back Miles but its still something I have to question. Yes there are a lot of injuries but there is absolutely no excuse for how we have played the last few games. The constant penalties and lack of adjustments. I for one am concerned how we handle this heartbreaking loss. I just hope we dont fold and have the kind of season Michigan had. I dont want this to bleed into next season. Our coaches need to put some changes in the team, we are too predictable on all fronts.
i think whether or not that happens will depend on how we do in the SECCG and the bowl game. those turn out to be good wins, we should be ready for next season. they turn out like last night, next season is a toss up. either way, the Tigers are still my #1 team; and i'll be with them through it all.
Great first post. It is really nice to hear from some positive fans, so please continue to post your thoughts! It seems to me that some people want to discount the idea of winning the SEC and the Sugarbowl. I think it is huge myself!
hmmm...i think it happens every year? yes? no? just thinking out loud! not necessarily so. could be a good season. for your consideration: coaching shake ups in the rest of the sec and every team is losing senior players this year - some more than others but many losing some key players. and we can always hope tebow will go to the nfl before next fall. welcome aboard CBG! good first post. nice to see a first post that's positive instead of a bunch of negativity and bellyaching.
