But...He committed. Why the hedging? I'm with Calco, somewhat. I just get the feeling that he may be a flake.

sf read this and let me know if you think it would be easy to decide. and no he said he would go there. A kid isn't committed till they sign the loi.

    Put yourself in this situation:

You are a 4.0 student and you want to study a major that Havard, princeton, and brown offer. Havard and Princeton are tops in the field in. You let everybody know your going to havard, but then you sit and think about it 15 hours a day for weeks. Your best friend is already at princeton and your good friend who is on the debate team is going to brown. They are calling you everyday telling you to goto their school. You get calls from the presidents of each university saying they hope you choice their school and its much better then the other. Your getting phone calls from famous alumni from yale and princeton. The new proffessor at Brown is promising you the world. You have pressure from every wheres. Now who do you choose? If you choice the worng one then your future could be in jeapordy. Make the call!

Not as easy as you think.

Look i am sure he is a good kid and has a great future ahead of him wherever he goes but a man's word , reputation , integrity is all he has .

College football is a big business you are right but how long would you work for a boss that jerked you around and played games with you.

Well i am giving you a 10% raise.

A week later he says 10% is too much i think i will give you 5% or better yet why dont i just give your raise to your co-worker and you get nothing.

You can give me 100 reasons to tolerate this.

I can give you a 100 not too.

Like i said before i dont support what Ryan P. did to Texas even though it helped LSU.

Is there alot of pressure on these guys yes. Does that mean its ok to act like this no.

Glad i am not his fiancee and expecting him to be there for the wedding!!!

I definitely agree with Tirk that it's best to let him sort out the confusing cob webs. The emotions of recruiting and outside pressure( i.e. his friends) is messing him up. We have to respect his need to clear things up in his mind; I'd rather have him convince himself that LSU is the school he wants to go to, taking into account all the factors, and be fully committed, rather than regretting afterwards. I do not think he is playing the recruiting game; so let him be and let the chips fall. At least he didn't jump and sign with Ole Piss or FUSC. If he's meant to be a Tiger, he will be. Remember destiny? like the 2003 team:yelwink2: This is a good test.

That's BS. If the kid does eventually sign with us, then you won't be disappointed. You'll be happy. And, if he ends up producing up to his potential, you won't even remember this.

The truth is you've got your feelings hurt. The head coach needs to be a little bigger than that. He needs to focus on the bigger issue at hand, which is closing the deal with the recruiting of KW.

This situation hasn't hurt LSU. As much as you don't like it (neither do I by the way), this is part of the business. Miles understands it. That's why we ended up with Jai Eugene even after he committed to Michigan. Miles is going to do what he can to close the deal with KW. If he can do it, all will be forgotten.
