Give it a rest - you have yet to admit one negative thing done by a right winger - if anyone criticizes a policy of george bush, you take great offense - you had a double standards with Jindal that was outrageous. As it is - she was elected 1 week ago and you want to pound here immediately.
I know nothing about cecil picard; Leslie Jacobs? If Iko and Who say she's great, okay, I'll buy it - but from my standpoint, she's basically been a windbag who hasn't done much of anything, whether on the NO School Board or with the state. That may not be her fault considering her surroundings.

As for the legislative leadership, i wasn't aware that that was selected by the governor. As it is, Alario would be terrible, Hainkel would be okay, don't know much about a lot of the others. I do know about your "up and comer" pepi bruneau, who is really a stodgy veteran and a slave to the special interests and, most disgustingly, to the sleazy government contractor - NO THANKS

 

The legislature leadership for the past 8 years has been next to worthless, as has the Republican Governor, but you don't see the right wingers here criticizing them, do you? This crybaby whining because they lost is pathetic. Jindal had no answers to anything, which they will never admit, and Mike Foster was a worthless pile of puss for 8 years.

If Iko and Tuwho think Leslie Jacobs is so great, that just tells me Jacobs is some right wing nut who wants vouchers and would like to see two tier education--one for poor kids and one for rich kids--instituted permanently, or even worse, would like to see public education slowly done away with.

That is what the Republican Party really has as a long term goal--the privitization of middle class and upper class elemenary-high school education anyway. Since the poor don't vote for them, they could care less about their education.

If it walks like a right wing nut, and talks like a right wing nut, it is a right wing nut. I almost said "thought like a right wing nut," but right wing nuts do not think.

If TE and Tuwho? enthusiastically supported Bobby Jindal, knowing what he was and who supported him, it speaks for itself.

The thing is that on this board, the difference between a truly paranoid right wing looney, like you and Iko and Mr Wonderful for example, and the simple right wing nut is subtle.

It is in the eye of the beholder. I am sure to someone like you, TE and Tuwho? appear to be liberal if they do not think FDR was a Communist.

I make no effort to make a distinction between all of you. It is simpler to simply lump you all together. Kind of like what you Republicans do with blacks--if it is a black face, vote against it.

It is simpler that way for me too when dealing with Republicans.

A little secret: Nothing is gained by participating in these kinds of internet discussions. That is one thing I am sure of.

All it does show once again is that there is no compromise and no common ground between people who believe in what America has always stood for and right wing ideologues like you who don't.

About the only constructive thing that can ever be accomplished on these worthless political message boards is making the other side so angry that they can bite through a nail.

Hmmm...As if Democrats haven't totally taken blacks for granted and played and preyed on the race card anytime they were threatened...

They make sure you know Republicans are racist, then ride their coattails into office, and lo and behold, nothing happens...

Socioeconomically, nothing happens...

Increases in health care, nothing happens...

Economic development, nothing happens...

About the only thing that does happen is how Democrats telling you how bad it'd be if Republicans got control...
