I just have a thin plastic case on my smartphone that they gave me at the store when I bought the phone. If I'm going to do anything where the phone could get banged around or wet I just take the sim card out and put it in a cheap flip phone to take with me.
You got it backwards and I don't have a screen protector at all. Just a plastic shell that fits on smartphone, not flip phone. The screen protectors I've has bubbled up and made it hard to see the screen
