I understand your point. It's an analogy by the way. Nice thought of your ex. Different schools have let their coaches (who plan on leaving) stay and coach a bowl game and other schools have said to on keep walking.

I like what A.D. Bo Schembechler did in 1989 when Bill Frieder took the Arizona State job right before the NCAA Tournament. Schembechler said they needed a "Michigan man", and told Frieder to start heading west. Bo hired asst. Steve Fisher on an interim basis. He led Michigan to the national title 3 weeks later.
