I agree with your post. It is ironic that the ones who scream and yell the loudest about contributing are often enough the very reason people stay away from contributing. Sure some people deserve to be called out, but all too many times there is an arrogance on this board that chases many potential contributors away.

He had no idea what the commotion was about when I talked to him, but my guess now was that this was when the official offer was made. My friend said he has no idea what Saban is doing, and is not sure that Saban even knows.

Sorry that none of this stuff is very useful, but its all I've got.

What did the guy say that has you up in arms? He expressed his opinion and asked for thoughts. The only responses relate to his post count and whether or not he's a "real" LSU fan.

The problem was his attitude-telling someone "to get a grip". Like Fightin Tiger is a fool or something. The newbie deserved to get called out.

Well, perhaps I shouldn't say anything, because I'm new, too, and don't want to start out on the wrong foot. (However, I am a contributor. )

I think some have over-reacted to jeffery's comments. Perhaps he made a poor choice in telling FightinTiger to "get a grip", but he's simply expressing his opinion. Some people think Saban is gone and wish to "move on".

And why not give him the benefit of the doubt, TigerEducated? If he says he's an LSU fan, I believe him.

Let's remember the spirirt of the season, after all.

Just my 2 cents. Thanks for hearing me out.

That does make sense. I just didn't think that was jeffery's intent - it seemed like he might be a real Tiger fan who came on a bit strong and got caught in the crossfire.

People who want to "move on" before Saban's made a decision, and want to start talking about defensive coordinators on NFL teams...Well, they just rub me the wrong way...

BMoney...You do what you like...I'm not here to court your dollars, but with a name like yours, I wonder why you're so scared of forking out dough for a place you frequent...

At any rate...I'll put it to you like this...If SabanFan started talking like we were already resigned to the fate of Saban leaving, I'd treat him the same way...I dare you to say different...
