I won't even get into Kennedy...Howard Dean is a raving idiot all by himself.
The fact that the Democrats chose him to lead their party shows just how out of touch w/ reality they really are.

Hold on, now. Don't act like the left is the only side accusing the others of mimmicking the Nazi's. That, as well as sleazy exploitation of 9/11, have become extremely commonplace from both sides.

Mystikal, do you still have that link to the Daily Show piece on this subject?

Once again, Sourdough demonstrates that he understands nothing about the Vietnam War. Like his beloved administration, he learned absolutely none of the lessons of Vietnam.

So here we are in Iraq repeating them again.

Nonsense. Ted Kennedy may be a lecherous old fool, but he's also a US senator of the opposition party and he's doing his constitutional duty to hold the administration accountable. The GOP did the same thing when Clinton was in office. It's playground childishness of the highest order to accuse everybody who disgrees with Bush as being allied with the enemy. The notion that anybody who disgrees with Bush cares nothing about his country is also utter hogwash. Some of us think that Bush himself is aiding the enemy because he is fighting the wrong enemy, while Osama still runs free. I question much of the intellect, insight, and morality of the extreme members of both parties, but that is no reason to question their patriotism.

But it seems like a badge of honor among neo-conservatives that when they can't acknowledge mistakes, fix wrong decisions, or answer legitimate questions from concerned citizens, . . . that they just accuse them of aiding the enemy for asking about it. "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle them with bullchit."

It ain't the democrats who are stuggling in the polls. And the only republicans getting any love are the moderates like McCain. Bush and his neo-con confederates are enjoying the twilight of their power as their approval rating plummets to new lows each month. 2008 is going to be a shock to some people who think the neo-cons will rule forever.

The pendulum aways swings back to the other side while trying to find equilibrium.

In every national election Democrats are struggling. In every statehouse Dem's are struggling except in La. which tells you something. They've lost nearly every gubernatiorial race in every state.....except ours of course. You people need to listen to Zell Miller who was a loyal Democrat is whole life, like my father was until Lyndon Johnson, when he says that the Democratic party is not the party of JFK----which was tough on defense and for lower taxes. That faction of the party left many moons ago and has been replaced with the Dean-moveon.org-Hollywood-extreme environmental kook-conspiracy theory-hate and blame America first wing. (And when you say who blames America-----people who call themselves Democrats and have a platform like Nancy Pelosi, Kennedy, Sharpton, Maxine Waters all said we have finally reaped what we have sown after 9-11) Like the other guy said, the more Dean and Michael Moore talk and say they are Democrats the more people's perception of their party changes to radicalism and that's good for me and my beliefs and what I want our country to be.

 Whatever. Ted Kennedy is not worth arguing over. I can't think of one person, on the republican side of the aisle, who acted anything like this guy during clintons two terms. By the way, McCain can pucker up and kiss my rosy red a$$ also. Lord knows he does enough a$$ kissing on capital hill.

    Quite wrong Red!
I was very young back then since I was born in 1965.
One thing I learned from this war is that the media was against that war
and did their best to under mind it and make sure that we lost to Vietnam.
Just like they are trying to do today.

You are being foolish if you compare the War in Iraq to Vietnam when total
casualties from the Iraq War end up to like only 1 day in the war in Vietnam.
Show me an operation where we overthrew a government and a country with
    such a low casualty count.

I know you want to ignore this once again Red:
Even Giap admitted in his memoirs that news media reporting of the war and the antiwar demonstrations that ensued in America surprised him. Instead of negotiating what he called a conditional surrender, Giap said they would now go the limit because America's resolve was weakening and the possibility of complete victory was within Hanoi's grasp.

Comparison to Vietnam only by news reports and people siding with terrorists
    like Ted Kennedy!
People against the war, trying to support the troops but don't support the
    mission?
Where are US bombing empty trees and forests?
Where are the thousands dying soldiers everyday?
Where are the protests at home and the shootings, riots, etc. that happened
    during Vietnam?
I will admit the terrorists coming out of Saudi Arabia, Iran and Syria which
are going into Iraq are probably more than previously thought but no Vietnam
    here.

You learned something today about the Vietnam war that you didn't know before.

Come on, Salty. You are looking at this through republican-tinted glasses.

Try Newt Gingrich, who tried to bankrupt Clinton with the Whitewater witch hunt. Speaking of republican witch-hunters, try Special Prosecuter Ken Starr, who when he failed to convict Clinton after years and milions of taxpayer dollars, switched his investigation to Clinton's sex life. Or try Trent Lott who led the Clinton impeachment, in which he was aquitted, by the way. And Gingrich and Lott both ended up resigning their lofty positions in scandals.
