I'd like to take this occasion to apologize to you for my outburst against you yesterday. It was totally uncalled for, and I was out of line. It shan't happen again.

That having been said...you call Salty sad, he calls you an idiot. You accuse him of having a gang mentality, he calls you a moron. The difference here: your insults are a little more subtle, yet no less hurtful in tone. You remind me of the player who starts a fight in a football game...the refs always catch the guy who retaliates. In your case you start something, somebody responds, and you go screaming for a mod. Get over yourself.

 

No, actually, my post was a reaction to his attack, and would not have occurred at all if he hadn't said "you're a moron."

Anyway, I appreciate your apology.

 

I don't expect you to hang on my every post... but when somebody posts that above your own post it gives me cause to suspect you're not looking out for it at all.

But, you are a freakin moron. It's not libel if it can be proven to be true. Your posts consitute the proof. Don't the ACLU/Kennedy democrats/John Kerry fans have websites with discussion forums? Go there if you're looking for someone to agree with you.

While I think it's interesting that you complain for relief from the moderators to ban the opinions of people who disagree with your obvious need to be controversal, and then you complain about the gang mentality that some people here might have adopted.

YOU have chosen this site as a vehicle to voice ideas that are outside of the mainstream of the mentality of the members of this board, and I personally feel that you are getting exactly what you have asked for.

Your statement about the live touch of another seems completely self serving and is a good example of your penchant for quietly lashing out at others while making it seem that you are still behaving within the rules of the forum, and giving you deniability as to who might have started the latest dispute you are in the middle of....

You want all of the protections of the moderators - but simply to diminish the power of those who speak out against you when they use a more direct approach to annunciate the frustruation you create with your constant attacks on the current administration.

I think you should find another board to post these ramblings where the "gang" mentality would be more in your favor.

I do not ask the moderators to ban disagreements with my views. I ask them to put an end to boring "you're a freakin' moron"-type and personal attack posts.

There is no doubt, at all, about who started such an exchange here. I generally have no desire, whatsoever, to comment on the personal character of other posters here. I addressed saltyone only after I was insulted because I wanted to share what I thought motivated him to make that sort of post. Should I have done it? Probably not. Was it uncalled for? Hardly.

And with that I'm off for the day, and I'll leave it to red to delete all the "moron" and "idiot" posts in this thread.
