I think Saban will take the Chicago position.

I may not be the first to say it, but if Saban goes, we should not pass on Spurrier a second time. We could replace a top-five coach with another top-five coach.

Saban won't leave this year... He's worked way too hard with recruiting and I think that he doesn't want anyone else coaching his recruits...not for another year or 2. He's trying to put the LSU 'dream' team together, this year is just the first of many to come I speculate...

Not to mention, this whole 'split' NC thing... As classy and quiet spoken as Nick's been, I know it's probably weighing on his mind. He wants to remove all doubt, I'm sure.... Look for him for another 2 years or so, I think...

    Geaux Tigers!!

Let me see if I have this right. You feel free to insult me and call me right wing trash on other sections of this forum but you are insulted when me or any of the other people you insult give you a taste of your own medicene. What is good for the goose is not good for the gander?

My first post on this thread in response to your post was not an insult but a tounge in cheek expression of amazement that there was anything at all that you agreed with me about, even football.
You responded to that post with an insult.

Since you "have no interest in discussing anything with a bizarre person who insists on engaging in insult matches without provocation" I suppose you never talk things over with yourself before you speak. Since you are so loathe to be in agreement with me about anything at all maybe you would be happier if you started rooting for LSU's opponents so that you wouldn't be rooting for the same team as me.

In the words of Edgar G. Robinson from Little Caesar "You can dish it out but you can't take it, see. You're all washed up, see."

I'm a native of Baton Rouge and I still suffer in the hot muggy summers. I worked outdoors for a few years and by the end of a work day in the summer I would be totally exhausted and sometimes dehydrated no matter how much water I drank. Now I work inside in my home office and in the summer my electric bill goes through the roof because the air conditioner is working full blast 24/7. Last summer I went fishing one particularly hot day and when I got back to the boat landing I discovered that I had left the lights on in my truck and the battery was dead. Worse- I had left the jumper cables in my other car. I almost passed out walking around the parking lot trying to borrow some jumper cables.

I lived in Boulder, Colorado for a year in the 70's. One late August day the temperature was in the 90's but it wasn't uncomfortable because of the low humidity. That afternoon I walked about 3 miles to visit a friend. I was still wearing shorts and a T shirt. It started to get colder and colder as I walked and the temperature dropped very rapidly. By the time I got to her apartment it was snowing. IN AUGUST!!.

Yes, Louisiana summers are hot and miserable but nobody is going to freeze to death. I watched the Patriots-Titans game on TV today. It was 3 degrees in Foxboro with a wind chill of -12 but the stadium was still packed. I think if I lived in Massachusetts I would have stayed home and watched it on TV even if I had 50 yard line tickets.

Its official now and Nick Saban is staying here as LSU's coach. I know that he had a lot of factors to consider in making his decision but I wonder it the choice of continuing to live in a warm climate vs braving the chill winds coming off of Lake Michigan in the Windy City had just a little influence on his decision.

Check out the Bear's Message Board

It is a scream. They have this florida homer,Fear The Swamp, that attacks any tiger fan that comes on the board. Read through a copy pages it is like a soap opera. A few days ago, they were throwing roses at Saban, today they say he needs to stay in LA where he belongs with the backwoods cajuns and rednecks. Boy what 24 hours can do.

Bear's Website The link to the message board is on the home page. Check out. LMFAO!

I have read all of their "postings" on "Da Bears" message boards. I wish I could respond to that garbage, but they will not let me register. I registered yesterday morning, but as of now, I still have not received a password. I would love to get on there and exchange "messages" with the Bear fans, but it doesn't look like it is going to happen...:cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:

I don't know what you're talking about. July is Daylight Savings time. It's light until at least 8:30.

And, Minnesota, like New Hampshire, has only 2 seasons: Winter and the Fourth of July.
