He could be a star if he hustled, too...just sayin'. And LSU doesn't exist to propel these guys to greatness. These guys are here because greatness is expected of THEM. They play for LSU...not the other way around. It's THEIR priveledge. That said, yes...I wish we'd throw the ball more. I've said it before, I'll say it again. I believe when we NEED to, we will...and can. JJ has to be on point, but these guys need to catch it when he throws it. The Vandy game's on JJ...but last week, his receivers did him no favors. RR is the only consistent one of the bunch.
One other thing...take a look at recruiting. It's fairly easy to see that Coach Miles is concentrating on the running game. Look at the RBs and OL he's targeting. It's been this way for a couple of years. If you don't like smashmouth football, you probably aren't going to be happy for a few years. LSU doesn't seem to be leaning towards a finesse passing style. Personally, I'm OK with it...because of the horses they're bringing in...it'll work. Stifling defense, smashmouth offense. That's the way things are going right now.
most on this board predicted this ....tell us something we don't know but, is it 8 or is it 10? you have a knack for making predictions so general, so broad that a truck could fall within your predicted range let me try: it will be dark tonight and it will get lighter toward morning which 8? what are the losses? the wins? interesting so is it 2nd or 4th?.... do tell if LSU and bama was undefeated going into the bama game but then lost on a last second pass where there was a blatant push off by the receiver and then won out, LSU would be 2nd in the west, provided bama won out as well. in all probability, the gumps play for the crystal and LSU plays in the Sugar Bowl it's a matter of context, just as fish says so if jj throws a td pass you'll take credit for it? you called it in advance? sounds more like hedging your bets thanks for sharing windbag
Wait... I finally got confirmation that our offensive coaching staff is as horrid as I thought. On ESPN early this morning, their a live report from Baton Rouge, showing that the LSU staff, have implemented a "NEW" drill for the QB to work on stepping up into the pocket. Wait, they just figured this out. My goodness.. Four game into his Juniour year, he is finally getting some coaching on pocket awareness. Geaux Tigers.... I dont expect results any time soon. But hopefully we can see some improvement within the next 3 to 4 weeks. And even thats being unrealistic. Expecting to correct a lifetime of bad habits during the season.... I mean, its amazing that this was a new drill. I would think this would be a part of everyday warm ups for your QB. I'm just saying. Thank god that we have talent. And Chavis... Let's send these boys scurrying from Death Valley, back into the mountains..
At the end of the night our team will be headed back to the Mountains, that is for sure. They will not be scurrying unless its to get home and burn some couches after a WVU win.
