I thought that VaTech backed out of your game next year. Maybe that was for a future game? I'm not sure, but I thought I read that VaTech refused to play ya'll next year...Can't say I blame 'em. If I played in the Big Least/New A.C.C., I'd be wary of coming to play an SEC team as talented as LSU.

Yeah, they backed out, but at the time I wrote the post, they were still on our schedule. I guess they're hoping the get us when we're down in 2007, but I believe our train will still be rolling by then

 

I wouldn't compare anyone in the SEC to Stoops until they win a NC....well Fulmer did win one but he is going downhill now...

 

I really expected LSU to go undefeated this year. Next year is questionable.

Next year belongs to Georgia. They have planned for a run on a NC in 2004 ever since Richt came on board.

 

How can you say right now that next year belongs to Georgia? We are just halfway through this season and you are already talking about next season. Georgia as of right now still has a shot at the NC, although I don't see a SEC team making it to the NC this year.

 

It's Oklahoma and then everybody else.

Chip, unfortunately for Georgia, NC's aren't decided years in advance. They are decided on the field during any given year. By that same argument, we could say that '04 is LSU's year because Saban has recruited to put together a NC bid.

All great coaches do that.

 

I think we all learned from Auburn this year. One game at a time.
