I like what he did on the field...not the choices he made, or his off the field problems. You're right, he got what he deserved, he laid his own bed. I'm just not denying his talents on the field.
I remember his first game against Miss. St. when he lost a shoe at the line of scrimmage and still ran 40 yards. I've never seen anything like him. He had the potential to truly be special. Too bad he is so forked up in the head.
skip has been quoted saying Joey was the most talented baseball player to come through his program. what coulda been.... be careful on halloween.
There's no way even Saban could have set that guy straight. Sure Saban's a great coach, but he's not a miracle worker. He might have been able to delay the problems, but Cecil would've gotten in trouble sooner or later regardless of who his coach is.
Saban has yet to set Barrington Edwards straight nor did he get the Linebacker, Pope, to clean up his act.. Supposedly he has taken away Edward's scholarship for next year. Hope B E wises up soon before he gets in serious trouble.
I know someone who went to high school with Cecil. He said that he did all of his homework for him, and that Cecil was totally clueless intgelligence wise. Should be no surprise to anyone. That being said, this was the most talented football player ever to step on the field for LSU. Period.
yes, we punted on 4th and 2, but the real crime was not giving it to cecil on 3rd and 2. DiNardo ran a run/pass option and Tyler threw it incomplete. DiNardo should have told Tyler just to give the %$#@ ball to the diesel. :champs:  lefire:
