Even if it is an upset... The AP reporters will say that they would have won had they had Williams, so USC won anyway. USC is 1-0 right now.
USC National Champions???? Are you hearing this pre game I think I only heard co-national champs once...This is just disgusting...Did anybody else in the media see the National Championship game???
Don't worry about it, Max. Hell, I believed USC wouldn't cover, but didn't lay a bet down in time. I sure hope you're right ... VT just went ahead 10-7. We'll see if USC has the stuff THEY BEEN HYPING
Well, I was wrong, but... the difference in the game was the TWO bad calls by the officials. The first call was the PHANTOM face mask. USC scored their first touchdown as an indirect result of that bad call. The second call they went over many times. The PHANTOM offensive pass interference that turned first and ten from the USC 11 into a punting situation. USC scored their second touchdown off of that bad call. Reggie Bush is an awesome player and USC is more talented than Va Tech but the game ball should go to the officials. The 14 points off bad calls was the difference in the game. That doesn't even count the points that Va Tech lost as a result of those calls. I am not sure if Va Tech would have won if the game was properly officiated but it would have been likely. This is another reason that the polls stink. USC should not be ranked number one after an unranked team outplays them, but because they get the W thanks to the officials they will stay at #1 and walk through that joke of a schedule. Thanks to the media for pushing to get rid of strength of schedule so wins only matter now no matter how easy the schedule. I prefered last year's system without the NY Times poll. Everything about that liberal toilet rag is a joke including their silly college football poll. I hope we get to play USC in a bowl.
