I now firmly believe that the Burrow family will balk at Cincy drafting him

One of the reasons I prefer the college game. LSU will never be bought by a moron who will never sell the team. Can you imagine being a Cowboys, Redskins, Bengals fan and your only hope to succeed is that the owner dies?

It's hopeless. It will change once the fans stop going to the games and they start losing real money. But all 3 of those have such great fan bases ***I just threw up a little @Cowboys. I mean they have loyal fan bases...

The first 17 years of the Saints were like that until Tom Benson bought the team. There is a difference between the Cowboys and Redskins owners and the Bengals owner. Both Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder want to win and are willing to spend big bucks on free agents and coaches and facilities. They just don't know anything about football but think they do. Mike Brown doesn't give a shit about winning. He will draft Joe Burrow because it will sell tickets in Ohio and Burrow will be relatively cheap for the firsr 4 or 5 years under his rookie contract. But Brown won't sign any big time O Linemen or WR's or even put together a good defense. All that costs money.

I really Hope that Joe pulls an Eli, I think he needs to worry about himself. These teams will not beyond their investment. And the bengals are just bad.

    Fair point.

If you aren't going to care about my career, why should I play for you?

There lies the rub. If you're correct and Brown is only interested in selling tickets, there's not much anyone can offer him to trade the rights to Joe. Even if you're the Saints, and you're willing to trade Brees, do you think Drew at 40 will sell more tickets in Cincy than JoeB? If ticket sales are all that's driving Brown, Burrow doesn't have nearly as much leverage as he thinks.

Can't trade Drew. All 3 Saints QBs are unsigned.

Brown is in fact only interested in making money. Marvin Lewis had next to no scouting department because they're so cheap. It's why Lewis went after so many questionable character guys. He could draft them later than their talent suggested they be picked. Made finding diamonds in the tough difficult.
