That was a pre BCS season all that happened in. If you want to look at a "national" level and include Florida in the scenario, look at 2006. Do you remember, #1 Ohio St. barely beat #2 Michigan? Those were the rankings that they went into and away from the game with. Somehow Florida managed to pass Michigan and show why the idea of a rematch was bad. How was anyone to know that Oklahoma State wasn't another version of the '06 Gators or even your '92 Gump squad? The voters didn't know it. What they did know was that Bama could beat LSU or at least keep it close.
What difference does it make what year we are talking about? It's football and you're putting everything in the equation but the eye test. I submit, that if not for that all important eye test, there is no 2 loss LSU NC in 2007. But when you watched them, it was obvious, it was a good team and the voters knew it. If I can deal with a rival that passed the eye test, so should you.
It was the eye test? If the eye test would have worked in '11, everyone would have seen LSU beat Bama and looked to Okie State as the top contender. Let me leave with a quote, "Here's the key thought for today. Are you listening? No do overs in football, that is all." Who wrote that? While you're figuring it out just shut the fuck up and say yes only after we tell you how it happened.
Dude, wasn't my eyes. The consensus that picked LSU in 07 was the consensus who picked Bama in 11. And was the consensus who didn't take Okie St. As far as the do over comment, you live with the regular season results. You don't moan and groan. Who knew they would want to take this show to the NC dance?
You really are a fkn moron if you believe that was a consensus. That was nicky and a handful of other self-serving DBags gerrymandering the coaches poll. That inbreeding is really catchin up with yall.
Well, I don't know about the Florida-Florida State game. That was long before I was born. I do know it's easier for the loser to get "up" for a rematch, especially for an exhibition game played 5 weeks after the regular season ended. Speaking of being fortunate to escape with a win, I could apply that to your team last November in Tiger Stadium. Miles should have been "whining" for a match like Saban did but I guess it was a moot point since we lost to Florida in the Swamp, whilst your team was playing "mighty"(snort) Tennessee. I might also add that last season your team was also very lucky that A&M (in their second game of the season and before they had their offense smoothed out) lost to Florida, whilst you were playing "mighty"(snort again) Missouri, else Saban would have had to embarrass himself again by running up and down the halls of ESPN lobbying for another rematch. I guess if you keep running around telling everybody how great you are there are some dumbasses that will believe you, but I'm not one.
Don't be obtuse. Have you forgotten the situation already? LSU '07 had not already been beaten by Ohio State when we got into the BCS game.
I seem to remember a certain Coach arguing, "If you don't win your conference, you have no business playing for a Nat. Title." Yet you dumb trailer fucks couldn't even win your division and still got a re-do, and titty flapping Saban arguing for their "right" to play for the crystal.
