As I've said, JH is a quality announcer. He is better than many in the SEC. By fundementals, I meant that the guy never gives the score. Fundementally thats the most important part of the broadcast. Spark, Where were you today? I dressed nice for you man.
I been around long enough to remember other 'casters..but Hawthorne is by far my favorite LSU caller. And yes, the Hawthorne Homer has been noted by many. :rofl: We used to get the biggest kick out of it (and still do)...chit, it's one of the reason's I like JH so much. He's so pro-LSU..... Every year when LSU advances past a Super Regional I look at my wife and proclaim, "TIGER'S WIN, TIGER'S WIN!!!! AND WE'LL SEEEEE YA IN OMAHA!!!" (Before he say's it). Sends a lil chill down muh spine :hihi: Makes my wife roll her eyes and chuckle
At what point will people realize that Hawthorne has gotten too old to call these games? Will it occurr when Jim falls asleep during a broadcast and then wakes up screaming '"JACK HUNT, JACK HUNT!"
I love Hanagriff!! He and Condit were always fun to play sports trivia against at Damon's. Of course we lost but we learned a lot.
charlie h started showing emotion this year. someone musta told him he was putting people to sleep. though I like the new honeybun I must admit. both together arent too bad.
I just dont think CH has that good of a voice. JH has a good voice. I'm just not high on CH. I think LSU could do better than him.
