LSU's 'preseason' games: ULM, Western Illinois In previous years the examples would have been better but with LSU playing a decent non-conference opponent last year and this year it kind of doesn't work so well. But the other non-conference teams are essentially 'preseason'.
You might call them preseason but they count on the team record. Lose one or not win by a big enough margin and watch how fast you drop in the polls.
