I prefer watching CNN during elections followed by Fox then NBC, but really Fox and NBC aren't anywhere close to CNN. I find them to have the best coverage and the least bias.
I think you misunderstand what is meant by "united." It does not mean everyone thinking the same way or even everyone being bipartisan. Partisanship has a legitimate role to play in government. But to be united means America does not turn on itself as it did during the Vietnam war and the civil unrest of the 60's. It is one thing to disagree with someone and another thing to demonize those with whom we disagree. We can still respect each other even while disagreeing. Unity is disagreement without rancor or bitterness. And Obama, as President, represents every American - even those such as I who did not vote for him. He was elected fair and square and he is my president. I will support him when I can and I will oppose him when I must. But I will never disown him.
It's all a bunch of salesmanship BS. The country is no more divided or united politically than it has been for a long time. We've got about two more months of all this hyperbole to go. Then, as I've said in posts before, the media will remember that it only gets ratings if it digs up and reports on conflict and controversy. The Obama advertising campaign will give way to a slow but steady shoveling away of the BS. What we'll be left with is the big question. We'll probably have the first glimpse in May or so when gas prices soar again to gouge summer travellers.
You mean the media actually loves a story and will follow the news? I thought the media was always biased against the conservatives.
