Just like Clinton was . . and Rahn Emanuel worked for Clinton, too.

Clinton was a Southern guvernah. BHO is a self-identified progressive.

I guess next you'll try to argue that the sun sets in Florida?

FOX is slanted for Republicans and thus McCain (at least up to the election). If you feel differently, I wonder about your ability to make judgments. Maybe these numbers make you feel better; I question their validity. How many of the neutral FOX stories were 1.4x positive for McCain and 1.4x negative for Obama? How many of these FOX stories were negative but mentioned Obama less than 25% of the time? How many FOX stories were biased against liberals, and thus Obama by association?

I don't need to delve into statistics to see with my own two eyes that FOX pimps Republicans and that CNN is fairly skewed for the democrats. I don't watch MSNBC enough to argue for or against the claim that they exhibit severe liberal bias.

As far as singling out bias for McCain, you're the one who pushed that argument, trying to narrow my original statement. My original point was that FOX and conservative radio are major contributors to an overall divisive mentality in the US. You've spun off on a tangent, maybe trying to win a debate for the sake of winning?

Just look in the mirror amigo. Think what you want, but the methodology is proven and the numbers don't lie. Pew Research is also one of only two polls(Rasmussin is the other one), that perfectly predicted the margin of victory for Obama. They must be morons over there huh? I accurately predicted you would discount a non partisan study that proves you wrong in favor of your own opinion. Because it's not what you want to believe. What a shock.

You obviously did not read the entire study or this question would have been answered for you already. Of course you would have completely disregarded it anyway.

The contention this entire election cycle has been about the media support of Obama, not liberals, and the media bashing of McCain, not republicans. How is that a tangent? I simply proved with numbers that you are incorrect about the coverage of FOX in this campaign. You can't accept it, so you deflect and make it about me.

    I am not surprised.

    Do you not watch FOX?

I read a good bit of it and what I read did not answer the questions I asked. Statistics can be very misleading, especially when arbitrary lines are drawn and personal judgment is involved. I don't need statistics to tell me that FOX is biased and I honestly am surprised anyone would argue otherwise.

So your point is that in general the media has been positively biased toward Obama and negatively biased against McCain? I'm not arguing against that, though I don't watch MSNBC often and I get most of my news from the internet, NPR, CNN, and FOX. I've thought NPR was mostly unbiased though probably a left lean, CNN a stronger lean to Obama and the Democrats, and FOX a strong lean to McCain and the Republican party. My point, though, is that FOX plays a large role in driving a wedge into the nation. CNN does to a slightly lesser extent and I assume MSNBC is on the other end of the spectrum from FOX, something your study seems to confirm.

When I bash FOX, I am not bashing it in relation to all other media outlets; I don't get my news from most of those. I bash FOX strictly on the impression I get almost every time I watch it in relation to my own perception of reality.

I have to say I've found your posts more blustery and less interesting lately. When you and Red get into it I'm pretty turned off by the beating of chests. I feel like you are less driven by a desire for intellectual honesty and more driven for a desire to be right. Maybe I'm doing the same.

You offer no facts, but discount them out of hand. You offer your obviously biased opinion instead and then again turn your focus on me. You really should just look in the mirror. I am not here to "turn you on", so if you don't like my posts, don't read them. Since you can't answer my questions with facts either, you could defer from that as well. All you have really done here is insult me, and I guess that makes you feel good.

    Happy Holidays.
