Characterizing someone that disagrees with you in a clear, lucid manner as "emotionally fragile" is weak. Just not as weak as your argument.
Thanks again for making my point. You aren't mature or honest enough to discuss the points I've raised so you just invoke a prejudicial aspect to divert attention.
That's right, not mature and honest like you. I already listed 10 characteristics of fascism. They don't sound like Obama to me.
Actually some of them do but thats another issue. I didn't compare Obama to fascism. I compared CERTAIN aspects of his meteoric rise and political campaign as well as his constituents' behavior to Hitler's and Germany's. It wasn't a comparison to fascism or Hitler's evil.
Obama wasn't a centrist in the Illinois legislature and he wasn't a centrist in the Senate. It is highly unlikely he will govern as a centrist in the White House, but we will see.
He represented a Chicago South Side liberal district then. He has a much broader constituency to represent now if he hopes to be re-elected in 2012.
If by united you mean we all think and talk and act the same way, I agree with you. We will never be a united nation, and thank goodness for that. But that is not a very good definition of unity. Considering the pluristic nature of our society, I am not sure what a good definition would be. Perhaps consensus is a better definition in the sense of working together in a harmonious manner to solve problems despite our differences.
If Obama is looking for the center he's off to a bad start. He couldn't have picked a more divisive and combative COS. Here comes Obama, the moderate, centrist Democrat.
