All in all, the referees let them play football, which is always good. There was a lot of holding and taunting going on, but they were no-calls for the most part. The phantom helmet contact was not too good.
Launching yourself is not a penalty. Launching yourself and actually hitting someone with your helmet is a penalty.
the "spearing" attempt was one of the cases where the receiver dropped down and loston lowered his head to get lower not to spear. to me there is a clear difference. however the refs/rulemakers probably dont care if leading with the helmet is intentional or not.
Was I the only one who saw the Oregon wr punch our defensive back at the end of a play in the 1st quarter I believe? I about lost it
Uo had a lot of calls aginst them , especially in the first quarter. This hurt the morale of uo early. I'm not saying they wernt deserved, just that they really hurt the ducks.
Why is launching yourself and not hitting a guy a penalty? If a guy tried to clip someone and whiffed it isn't a penalty, though it could snap a guy's neck it he did block him.
Kuddos to the duck fan for showing up after the game to take his medicine!! Good luck to you guys the rest of the way.....go and make the tigers look great!!
