We have never fired a coach who hasn't posted a losing season. Damn few have. Firing Les isn't going to make Harris into a quarterback. A new coach won't make him one either. He either proves to be a quarterback or he ain't. That is what next season depends on. Not firing a coach. Not to be confrontational, but how is firing the head coach going to solve every problem?
Sadly, the Den has turned into just another rant board. There has been a slow but steady exodus of those that have no interest in incessant daily complaining about the coach ever since SabanFan departed. Agreed. It's why I can't understand why the minions can't give it a rest, amigo. It quashes all chances to actually discuss the football game.
Miles is feeling it now. this is a critical time in miles' tenure. he lost his best coach due to the ineptness of the administration. he has failed to develop a qb once again. his backup got no playing time that mattered. hes losing most of his offensive line and key players on defense that may have returned otherwise. losing the bowl game and chavis at the same time could be a foreshadowing of LSUs future. hopefully, we turn this into a positive as an impetus to change our offensive approach and to develop a passing game circa 1980.
My question was if 4-4 or even 5-3 in the SEC next season is a reason to look for a new coach. Let's not worry about who the QB is for next year and just look at expected results. Would you expect CLM to remain if he goes 4-4 or 5-3 in the SEC?
LSU could have a losing season next year. Look at Florida, being riddled with talent doesn't mean shit if you can't throw the ball. Where is this arrogance coming from that LSU cannot have a losing season?
from mcneese, syracuse, e.michigan and western ky. surely even a group of us can win 2 of the remaining 8.
