I dont know why you pay GC what he gets paid to not have him call plays. Miles only gets to make calls like kicking FGs, going for it on 4th and onside kicks...... I really believe this..
I used to believe that too, however it's hard to keep it up when this offense looks so different from the one CGC had in the past. Why would he ever recruit a QB that isn't comfortable out of the pistol / shotgun? Those are his go to formations and yet, we rarely / if ever see them now.
And it is a real threat b/c most new coaches do this.. Chavis has more than earned his keep.. Our D is so aggressive and badass.. Just sucks they get scored on B/c of the O...
Eventually LSU is going to have an ok night on offense and suck the fans back into believing the fiction. The fiction is the offense ever has chance under Crowton.
Empty is a pretty good analogy. Yes it was a win and I'm proud and happy we got it. That said that was the most undisciplined ball I've ever witnessed. 110 yds in penalties. The O never gave itself a chance. Every time they would get to 2nd and short they would commit stupid penalties ending up in 2nd and stupid. Unfortunately we'll never know what they could have done. Bottom line this type of play will not cut it. Our D and special teams can only do so much. When the O stops itself, TO's the ball on scoring drives and TO's the ball in opponents territory it will bite us sooner or later.
We need a QB, I dont know if Lee is the answer, but I am under the impression now that Miles is not being fair to the kid.
