In addition to what Red and SF have already written, we DID beat basically the same team last year 49-0. That kind of beat down is just another reason why these guys thought they'd just have to show up to win.

Convenient to say that is the only reason why, but there's more... Florida has been off a week now and getting rested/healed, etc... They're gonna be fired up because they have to something to prove. They will kill, mame, scratch, bite, kick, and gouge just to make sure they don't drop 3 games in a row while having a bye week in that span... They're ready to play. Kentucky - Knocked off #1, great... but they are battered, bruised, and a little at ease going into this game. They figure they beat the team that beat Florida, so they shouldn't have any problem. I do agree with the overall outcome of the game though.. Florida will win comfortably. They will get in a shootout with Kentucky in the first half, and the Florida defense will put them ahead in the exchange by causing Woodson to make turnovers. Kentucky won't recover from those mistakes... Florida will open it up in the second half.
Ole Miss comes out all kind of "fired up" to start the game, but usually leaves with one more "close" asswhippin.:redface:
