Have you ever seen Dubsmash? It's quite popular with the youngsters. I have to admit that it's creative but I deleted that app too.

Never heard of that one but everybody is trying to write the next billion dollar social media app. Look what Facebook did for Mark Zuckerberg

I hope nobody is that desperate but if your name is Jim Smith there will be thousands of other Jim Smith pages. If your name is Englebert Schlitzenhiemer there will still probably be another 10 or 12 people in the world with that name too.

I also have a LinkedIn account, but I have never used it for anything, and have never had anyone use it to contact me for anything related to my business.

I have an FB account and I check it to keep up with a few friends. I don't think I've ever sent out a friend request and I post probably once or twice a year. Other people's BS just doesn't bother me as I'm pretty laid back. I actually find my self laughing at how ridiculous and stupid people are on facebook. it's entertaining.

@LaSalleAve, since you mentioned unnecessary marital drama on FB, how do you feel about the couples on FB who share an account? You know, like JimandSue Smith or something of that nature.

My district has "encouraged" all employees to get on Twitter. I have had a Twitter account for 2 years, with nothing on it. Then, we were "forced" to post a video of ourselves making an introduction to students/parents/colleagues there. Yuck...but I did it; twas required.

I've decided to use it to tweet with authors and will encourage the kids to do the same. The author of Asylum favorited my tweet about loving her book series last week. The kids dig that.

Makes me want to vomit. Then they sign their name at the bottom of the comment, or say "hey friends, Steph here........" People like that have something going on behind the scenes, and have zero trust for each other.

I deactivated my primary account but will not delete it due to all of the pictures I have uploaded. I created a second account with two friends, my wife and my mom. I use the second account basically as a newsfeed. I have a few news sites and magazines that I "liked" and it gives me something to read.
