No LA is not a victim, but neither is Arizona. It has nothing to do with being liberal or being satanic..er i mean, conservative. If my business was the company that supplied Los Angeles with 25% of the power i would be pissed at the Arizona guy. The Arizona guy is acting like that parent that starts fake crying at his child when the child starts crying.
Bull. What side you're on is determined by whether you give a flying fk if a few hispanics are worried about getting hassled by the man.
Why not just let them boycott? Why drop down to a level of a child with the "OH YEAH????!!!!" attitude? What about the people in Los Angeles who agree with this piece of worthless legislation?
Actually, according to the Boulder Canyon Project Act and the Colorado River compact, Arizona could do something, but it would take Nevada to join them, Dept of Interior, and be passed by congress. So, in essence, basically impossible. Could be, but very unlikely.
How about I send my friend "Bubba" to lather up your backside and give you an old fashioned cornholing? Would you drop down to the level of a child and just let him do it? Like I said. It depends on what side you are on politically.
I think everybody has missed the point of the letter from the Arizona guy. Los Angeles is grandstanding and have no intentions of actually boycotting Arizona. Gary Pierce of the Arizona Corporate Commission said "I understand LA has decided to boycott any relations with Arizona because of our immigration laws. Since that is your position and I am on the utility board, I will be glad to help you renegotiate LA out of the current contracts with Arizona's Utility Commission for 25% of your energy". If you want to boycott Arizona then quit pussy footing around and boycott. The leadership of LA is as bad as the Obama administration when it comes to speaking before you fully understand a subject or it's consequences.
If the folk who are representing the City of LA are as principled as they are pretending to be this would be a non-issue. LA should be refusing to buy the AZ electricity if they are really that staunch of an opponent to the legislation. Situational ethics like this are a good part of the reason AZ had to come up with another plan of action.
