I was at the Cap One Bowl and I was saying the exact same thing to my brother. Mistakes made by our Tigers that would have usually sent Saban into a rage, didn't seem to bother him too much that day. He seemed uncharacteristically calm that day. Like you said, it's like he didn't even care. Oh well, it's the Miles era now. :thumb:

I remember how, in 1989, during my sophomore year at LSU, we were ranked in the Top 5 preseason. A group of my friends and I settled down to watch the LSU/A & M game that was in College Station (by the way, I WISH we still opened every year with them--so much fun to hate!). The A & M kickoff returner scored a TD. All of us looked at each other and said, "There goes the season!" We were wrong of course--that was the first of the six straight losing seasons.

Obviously, times have gotten much better.

However, I should've felt (perhaps) a little more impending doom when Skyler Green (one of my favorite Tigers) fumbled the opening kickoff against OSU. That, along with the biblical flood, were pretty good metaphors for the 2004 LSU season. And to top it off, most of the teams we usually hate were successful.

who would have ever thought that a 9-2/3 season could taste so sour?
