yep, go up to black, jewish, muslims, whites and racially insult them to their face and see how much non-violence you get. You try to stir the pot with your "Darkie" remarks that you so often make here, but you never achieve your goal, which is sad. People see you coming from a mile away.
I can almost accept this explanation, except that the phrase I bold-faced pretty much blows it up. About the only thing Obama does not have to work on is his rapport with reporters. (Don't forget, it was a staff flunky on twitter who leaked the j-a comment, not the reporter he was preparing to give marching orders to).
I said he liked to stir the pot, I didn't say he didn't have a very valid point. Martin is definitely a pot stirrer who likes to get a reaction from people. However some of his arguments are dead on correct. He has an affinity for slamming those that like to play both sides of the fence and it seems to get under their skin.
A valid point on what exactly? Because Im talking about when he likes to call people Darkies and other words he has used. You can make a valid argument without that.
race issues are interesting. also it seems unlikely that white folks would care about the sort of racist statements i make here about whites. whites are annoying and terrible and i hate them, but they dont seem to mind being criticized very much. and of course i am white so i am OK to call whites out. thems the rules. but i have had my share of personal trouble in the past with jews. one of my closest friends is jewish. and growing up i really had no idea what that was. and then when i learned that jews were hated, i really took the opportunity to taunt my friend mercilessly. and he didnt care, we had been close friends since we were tiny. he kinda liked it. he made fun of my waspy heritage. but then his dad overheard me, and oh boy was he pissed. i look forward to when we are all friends and can taunt each other, instead of all being like the angry clueless dad in my anecdote.
maybe the angry clueless dad had family or friends in concentration camps. other than jewish people, i dont recall white people being persecuted, and murdered, and given the shaft, and having no rights, due to the color of their skin at any point over the last 120 years. Its really sad that here in the year 2009 people are still so freaking ignorant, and racist that they don't realize that we are all a different shade of the same color. we all bleed red, but you Glen Beckites think that since the Prez is black that "the black man is taking our country away, and giving it to the blacks and the muslims" A country that the white man stole from Indians and Mexicans. YOU ARE STEALING THE COUNTRY WE STOLE!!!!! Grow the F up.
I know folks have the right to say what they want here, but I have the right to disagree with it as well. right Twisted?
He's simply trying to point out much of what he said in his last post. How minorities can call whites or each other anything and it is ok. However let a white person say the exact same thing and people want to march in the street and burn the town down. I remember in my 20's I had several very very good friends who were black. We played ball every weekend, went out drinking BBQ'd at each others house, borrowed each others cars and all the things that very great and close friends do. They called each other the N word all the time. They even called me the N word quite often and we never thought anything of it. Could you imagine if we would have been in public and even playing as we did I called one of them that and someone heard it. They would want to burn me at the stake. That's the kind of racial political retardation that Martin likes to point out. He is not gentle in the way he points it out, however he is correct. I can't even believe that I am forced to type "N word" out of political correctness and fear of extreme reaction to typing the actual word that I hear blacks call each other every day. It's not the word you say, it's how you say it and what you mean. Why is a black person calling me a cracker or a honky any less evil than a white person calling someone "the N word"? That's one of the things Martin is saying in his very non politically correct way.
I cant say I dont agree with this. Its definitely how you are using the word. However, people want to march and burn the street down because it was done to them in the past. Lets not forget the past in the discussion, like its always been an equal footing. I try not to use the word myself, unless I am talking about my own people and using it in a demeaning way, because I hate some of my own people sometimes.
